Rooftop Productions is a bi-lingual Hong Kong theatre company started in 2014 by Ivor Houlker and Michelle Li. We create new and original work that is inspired by Hong Kong but influenced by the theory and practice of international contemporary theatre. Our productions involve research and devising, site-specific and physical theatre, often incorporating live music. We are also one of the first companies in Hong Kong working to use interactive technology in performances, through our custom built apps.

Most of our performance work is surtitled and accessible, and we offer classes taught in both Cantonese and English.

Our most recent productions in Hong Kong have been Milk and Honey and The Beautiful Ones, which won the award for best overall stage effects at the 8th Hong Kong Theatre Libre.
