    Cool DB- Seahorse Lane

Hello all, we are moving in September to HK, two kids, a 3 year old and a 1 year old. Looking at Discovery Bay and like the look of Seahorse lane. Type 1, ground floor with a bit of a garden. Its a little above our price range but wanted to get some advice on the following-

Are they neg. on the rental? (we are on a 3 year contract)

Does anyone know a resident in one these homes and know the pros and cons?

We have a 80,000 housing allowance, any other ideas in DB.?

    Thanks for any help

We live in type 2. What you want to look for before you sign any rental agreement is the plumbing. Make sure you check every single tap. Some of the plumbing is fairly old and has never been replaced by the landlords - thus the pipes are still steel/iron and the water coming out is discoloured.
If you rent a garden unit you want have mesh on the fence to keep the occasional curious snake out.

I like living in the Beach Village. It's a nice neighborhood where you actually know the people living next door, convenient when it comes to transport and very green.
Sorry, can't help you with your question about the rent negotiations. It might be difficult to haggle it down, given that there are very few empty units in the area. Better check with your agent.
