Ma Wan - double deckers coming soon

According to the local DC and sources from the bus industry, route NR331 to Tsing Yi will be operated by Sun Bus with ex-KMB double deckers from the 15th of December.

Having visited Ma Wan a few times in the past few years, this capacity upgrade is long overdue.

Some photos from bus fans of the last night of single decker operation by PITCL.

Nice touch from them to program a special destination display for the night.

EDIT: according to the local DC, the Transport Department has yet to approve the operations of Double Decker buses yet!

Wish they’d do,so,etching about the 330 Tsing Yi bus. The 5 seat width coach they use is a nightmare. Seats too small for most people. Aisle to narrow. Takes an age to load/unload.

NR331 goes from Park Island/Ma Wan to the Tsuen Wan Multi-Storey Car Park Building.

NR331S (runs less frequently) goes from Park Island/Ma Wan to an overpass above the Tsuen Wan MTR station (first Tsuen Wan stop) and then goes to a stop in front of Nina Tower.

You can see more details about the times and bus stops for NR331 at http://sunbus.com.hk/chi/pdf/NR331.pdf and for NR331S at http://sunbus.com.hk/chi/pdf/NR331S.pdf and a bit of additional information at Sun Bus Limited é™½å…‰å·´å£«æœ‰é™å…¬å ¸.

Additionally they currently have some signs up at the bus stops, which you can see at https://photos.app.goo.gl/GQpcsf483UcaZz12A
The times that are underlined are more likely to have double-decker buses, but they could also use one of their low-floor single-decker buses. During the times that aren't underlined they sometimes use coach buses.

Well have fun traveling to and from Park Island/Ma Wan. There are still buses running from Tsing Yi and Kwai Fong regularly, and the ferries to and from Central. The ferries to and from Tsuen Wan only have three round-trips a day. You can see all the information you need about Park Island Transportation Company's services at Park Island Transport Company Limited.
