I am moving to HK with family in May. Would be looking for places/ areas to stay in with my limited budget. I am wondering if I can find anything over 500 sq ft in about $7500? Can anyone help please?

Hi,
It's possible to get a small one bedroom around 500 sq ft in DB for under $7500. But from there to commute to Quarry bay, it's going to take you more than an hour.
Depending on how far you are willing to commute, you have other areas to consider.
If you need more info, please feel free to pm me.
Good Luck
Check out some of the following sites for some examples of what you can get. Hong Kong Property and Apartment, for Rent and for Sale - Hong Kong Realty and Hong Kong real estate for sale - find Hong Kong apartments, flats, accommodation - Square Foot
Godd luck with the move.
Thank you for the help. I am already checking out the sites. Hope I can get something worthwhile soon.

Hi,
It used to be HKD 23.20/trip, but they hiked up the fare to HKD 26.xx/trip.
Very large fare increase whichever way you look like it. Absolutely do not rule out another increase anytime in the next 18 month.

well a single journey would cost u up to $31HKD now...
'cost saving' to get the multiple pass they offer, but u still pay 27 ish.
it's not the cheapest way to commute to work
True, compared to prices for public transport anywhere else it is a rip off, please correct me if I wrong, but I guess that living in DB compensates, I mean, it is like living in a beach resort....
how does the shuttle bus within DB works? I mean price and frequency
just want to make sure that if I get a place, let say, in Crestmont villa discovery, I will not have to hike for 30 min to get to the ferry...
what about the MTR, is it a suitable option?
Cheers
