    headlice was really common in the philippines, where i'm from. what they would do is soak the child's hair in gas, leave for a few minutes then towel-dry. souds a bit extreme and old-fashioned but this really worked the nits would detach from hair and the lice would die.

    I am from the PI as well but we would not soak anyone's hair in gasoline. Lol! We just go to a pharmacy and buy medicated shampoos to get rid of nits.
