Looking for a good gynecologist (English speaking ) in Hong Kong

Hi Fellow expats ,

This website and forums are one of the best i have ever come across and we always tend to get good suggestions.

i have been in Hong Kong since last 1 year and touchwood never had to meet a doctor. My wife has recently joined me here and we are planning to meet a good gynecologist.

Problem: She is having irregular periods, got operated for ovarian cyst last August, obesity and we still have no child.

I would like to know if any of you had similar problems and do you recommend any good place here in Hong Kong.

PS: We both are bad @ Cantonese and an English speaking doctor will be of immense help for us.

Also, i would like to know if any of you had tried Chinese medicine for obesity or these gynec problems.

You can search the GeoBaby forums for reviews on specific Drs.

No particular recommendations for a gynecologist (I'll leave that to others more qualified) but you don't need to worry about the English-speaking thing, any doctor in Hong Kong will be able to speak perfectly good English.

Of course, for Chinese medicine that's not necessarily the case, but for a gynecologist or other 'mainstream' doctor you don't need to be concerned about language.

Highly recommend Dr. Christine Choi, she is expensive but amazingly good.

Yes I have been to her before, she is good.

I am sorry but I dont remember her fees. I went a few years back actually.

Hey may I ask what came of it? Did you follow one of the recommendations and can you recommend a gynecologist now? (I'm looking for one myself)
