First time to see a dentist today and I just got a filling done in Tung Chung and the dentist was pleasant throughout. He allowed me to look at the problems I have and luckily the tooth (furthest molar on the top right) that was filled today didn't need a root canal, but 60% of the tooth was gone!
I had two root canals done in England at the same time on both top sides of the mouth, never again! ![Big Grin](/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Anyway, he filled it with white filling ($100 extra compared to silver, which may be painful) and then said it would be best to put a crown on the thing for $3,200. He didn't push me or anything, just said come back when you have the cash (i'm 24) and obviously don't bite on the filling. All in all, I think i'm more happy I don't need a root canal, but I can't fault the dentist or assistant at all. The total cost was $100 for the consultation; $100 extra for the white filling; which left $480 for the actual filling procedure.
