    Dentist?

Hi there, I just moved to DB and need a dentist for my 3 year old. Is there a kiddy friendly dentist here?
    Thanks,
    V.
PS - been here two weeks and can't believe how fantastic the place is. I may never go back to the island! well except to work and maybe a dentist....

I had a bad experience with the dentist at the plaza. Went for cleaning only, she insisted in doing x-rays and I was slapped with HKD 1.500,- On top of it she rattled on that several crowns and one bridge need replacement quoting down prices (HKD 25.000,-) continiously. I got a second opinion about that and it turned out to be unnessecary. I heard good things about the dentist in Tung Chung though - sorry, don't have the contact.

First time to see a dentist today and I just got a filling done in Tung Chung and the dentist was pleasant throughout. He allowed me to look at the problems I have and luckily the tooth (furthest molar on the top right) that was filled today didn't need a root canal, but 60% of the tooth was gone! I had two root canals done in England at the same time on both top sides of the mouth, never again!

Anyway, he filled it with white filling ($100 extra compared to silver, which may be painful) and then said it would be best to put a crown on the thing for $3,200. He didn't push me or anything, just said come back when you have the cash (i'm 24) and obviously don't bite on the filling. All in all, I think i'm more happy I don't need a root canal, but I can't fault the dentist or assistant at all. The total cost was $100 for the consultation; $100 extra for the white filling; which left $480 for the actual filling procedure.

Sounds good. Could you please post name, address and telephone number of the dentist you went to?
