best contact lenses?

I'm currently using 1 day acuvue moist.

but at least once a week I am getting lenses that no matter which way round I put them in I get itchy eyes. and taking them out ( straight away ) to "flip them over" moisten them etc I often end up jettisoning them and usign a new one - which goes in effortlessly,

they appear to have a "serrated" or none straight outline..

I suppose I will go and talk to the optometrist where I buy 'em - but wondered if anyone's opinion might help.

I have been wearing contacts off and on for 20+ years - this is new! I did have an eye examination maybe 8 months ago and no comments were made.

I used to wear daily acuvue and never had this problem. Faulty batch? But do also get your eyes checked just in case.
By the way, I recommend LASIK laser treatment - best money I ever spent

I just wished I dared! I'd be terrified, quite a few friends have had it done and said as much.

It's been the last few months thatI've experienced the acuvue problem - I can often see them looking a bit droopy when popping them out the case, but some are still ok.

I might try a different brand? was wondering if any one else had experienced this?

- but for sure I will get a check up when I go for the next prescription

Are they all from the same box, or do the boxes all have the same use-by date? Next time it happens, keep the bad lens in some water and take it back to your optician and show him/her. As I said, I used Acuvue for several years and never came across this.

I pretty much wear them everyday

dont think the problem is my eyes - cos after a "bad 'un" a good 'un goes in comfortable as you like...

Maybe try taking a day off from wearing them, and see if that helps....

acuvue oasys, I wear them for 2 months without any issues. It could be your solution is not removing the protein from the lenses, that happens quite often with contact lense wearers, as per the optometrist I used to date.

Change to a different solution, and do not wear your lenses for more than 12 hours. That reduces fatigue in the eyes and allows your eyes to breath.

Dont recommend Lasik, it screw up your night vision pretty bad. End up seeing halo's and stars around bright objects.
