Thanks merc, didn't get the email notification (again) and saw this by accident. Need to go this or next week. Would you remember if she rushed the job or did it thoroughly?

Interesting to read this thread. Hubby went to a dentist in HK and he was told that he definitely needed a root canal and it was going to cost him 5,000. But since we were heading back to Spore, hubby refused to let the dentist to do anything. Headed back to Spore and went to the dentist that my mum works for and the dentist told hubby that he just needed his fillings to be refilled. So he's extremely glad that he didn't listened to the dentist he went to in HK.

I have decided to go ahead with the Invisalign procedure. Does Dr Olivia Lam have expertise in this area? What are her charges?

How can I get in touch with her?

    Regards,

Shouldn't you go to an orthodontist for invisalign or are dentists trained to do the procedure these days?

"normal" dentists can do any aspect of dentistry, including orthodontics, should they choose to. It is perfectly normal and legal for them to do so.

But, not having the intensive training of actual specialists, they dont usually do the more difficult cases, unless they have the knowledge and experience to do so.

So it is possible some dentists do do invisalign.

    Note- invisalign has limitations.

Does anyone else want to give glowing reports about Dr. Olivia Lam, or the surgery near Sogo in Causeway Bay?

    Unhappy Wisdom teeth Ouch!

Hello! has anyone been to Dr Lam's clinic and had wisdom teeth removed? How much did she charge? Looking for a good dentist with reasonable price. My tooth is hurting really badly! Thanks

I went to Dr Mike AJ Smith last week, older guy trained, New Zealander, office above Page One in LKF.

Not a flash place but he was good and gentle which is exactly what I needed after some horrific UK experiences that left me traumatised and cost mega buck to fix over many many trips to the dentist in NZ.

$1500 for 2 visits, x-rays and a nasty deep filling that I know was not easy because I already had a consultation in NZ they told me how bad it was and this guy did have to fight with it alot but all without hurting and only 1 injection.
