    Cough that won't go away

Hi, I'm an expat from New York. I've been here for 11 months. Recently I got a cough that just won't go away... My respiratory tract also feels sensitive to the cold air. I cough constantly, and it has been weeks.. Has this happened to any other expats? What can I do about it? Any over the counter medicine? *cough * *cough*

Love Hong Kong. Hate this cough...

Same thing happened to my son and I when we arrived here last Feb. After a few weeks I went to a GP - his comment "welcome to Hong Kong!" !! He gave us heaps of bottles of goo to help but we suffered for a while until the spring came. I'm having to clear my throat again so I guess we'll go through the same all over again Oddly Mr SS was fine....

One of the geoexpatter "justjoe86" posted that Sea Coconut cough syrup is really good for getting rid of persistent coughs -

Really Ss? I love shisha too from the days when I lived with a shisha addict. Tell him I want to go on a shisha date with him haha.

Brilliant plan, then SS is all left for me to whisk her on a non-shisha date...(fluttering eye lids)

    Beer is the usual standard..

Anyways, jokes apart, being an ex-smoker I'd dabbled in smoking shisha/hukka and can't say I didn't enjoy it. But, now I prefer to avoid it, as don't want to go back to smoking.
