Can anyone suggest a standalone dental policy offering more than say $60 for an X-ray?
Thanks

As with all insurance policies, you will, on average, in the long run, pay more in premiums than you will get back in payouts. Since Dental charges, unlike more general medical charges, are reasonably finite I can't see any rational reason how anyone could justify taking out dental insurance.
Hmm suppose...
Thanks pdlm

Last year I was getting quotes from an insurance agent, even he suggested to skip the dental insurance!
Wow! That unpopular?! I wonder if it's because barely 10% of the cost would be covered...after all we all need to see the dentist irrespective of health unlike a doctor...

Lots of people also see the doctor on a regular (annual typically) basis irrespective of health for a physical.
Unless you work for an employer who offers a generous dental plan, of if particularly terrible teeth requiring a lot of care, run in your family, I'd skip a local dental plan. Regular dental cleanings are quite cheap in HK.
Cheap?!
I was quoted $1500 yesterday from one practice!
