    the mind boggles how a publicly funded hospital can vary so much..

    my advice to mums to be is to get a hong kong address an go thru Queenmary = cos there is a bit of stress we didnt want

    poor ms Bump has been up all night cos she just got PUPPS on her hands and feet - we may have to name the twins itchy an scratchy ( i sure I will be in trouble if she reads this! )

    Public drs are the ones who have experience handling things if there are problems. The private drs hand over their patients to public hospital drs if there are any serious complications.

    i don't think closedcasket has delivered a baby in a public hospital as, i believe, a huge part of his idea of what it is like is incorrect. at least, it was not the same experience i had delivering twice in QMH.

    My wife delivered in a public hospital.. Please tell me which part of my personal experience is incorrect?

    Some of the public hospitals have specialized "equipment" that some private hospitals do not.

    Some situations require bringing in a specialist, but that could happen at either hospital.

    To say public doctors are better than private ones ( or vice versa) is nonsense.

    Well! I must say i am very happy! They have agreed to our birthplan entirely!

    Apparently we get a private room in the labour process

    They will delay cord cuttin an they will give skin to skin etc

    So happy to have stuck to my guns! Thanks for advice all
