No need to see a doctor. The sympathy of anonymous forum members will soften the pain and eventually heal the problem.

Most of the time - rest will fix the problem. Get a couple of good nights sleep and if you need, Panadol pain patches.

Ended up seeing Dr Hooley ( http://hongkong.geoexpat.com/forum/1...ml#post1788689 ) for a problem I had and his advice was pretty much ... take a few anti-inflamtories and rest and I hope I don't see you again.

I have recommended this guy many times on here.
    So here we go:

I have seen him for major shoulders (both) pain (overusage) and hip/back (overusage) - always worked for me.

He is a very nice and gentle physio who normally takes the time to listen and discuss with you.

it worked for me - it doesnt mean it will work for everyone I am aware of that.

Feb 28 last year, I woke feeling very achy around my shoulder. Went for my usual jog during the day,by by 5 pm that afternoon, I was in agony. From right side neck to shoulder, arm and then by 6 pm to my rib cage. Hubby had to drive me to dr to get checked over. ( medical centre at Useless but the only closest medical centre open near south Lantau !!!!) got a shot in my bum which eased the pain but by midnight, I was climbing walls with pain. Could not even move. Husband finally decided to drive me to hospital as I was phoning ambulance. Princess Margaret hospital did ECGs and x rays, etc...over the course of one hour and then i was admitted to trauma ward. They kept me hostage there for 6 days. Dosed up on painkillers, like volataren which I am allergic to along with five others. Turns out that apart from the inflamed shoulder, I have a very very low resting heart rate. Symptoms also show signs of a stroke, which age is no factor. You can be young or old. I has no stroke but extremely inflamed shoulder. Also, my heart rate is regular but slow ( 40-44 bpm) . You DO need to get it checked out. Go to another dr or specialist ASAP.
