I've had problems with the Cigna website and I just find it highly annoying in this day and age they can't get that 'easy' bit right. We were also sold the plan under what I would term inauspicious circumstances as I was on the company Cigna plan in London and booted off when I came here. I asked to remain on Cigna at my own expense. The 'company' plan and the 'personal' plan however are basically two different things and might as well be different providers. Unfortunately I only learned this after purchasing the plan. One obvious example - everything on the personal plan has to be pre-authorized, which is not the case on the company plan. So I've just been kind of annoyed with them from the start. I've got our insurance broker also on the case here. I will report back with what we decide in the end. Thanks to all for the advice.
