Free sick notes?

Does anyone know any place or clinic or doctor to where I can get a sick note for free?

With my emoloyer, we get fined more than a day's salary if we take a day off sick without a note and if we have them there then the day off is still unpaid but at least there's no fine.

So on a future sick day, not only would i be ill and unpaid for the day, but I would still have to find the time and money and energy to go to a doctor for a sick note.
Therefore does anyone know any Dr who gives sicknotes for for free? Preferably in Kowloon or MongKok...

STOP dreaming and wake up. No such thing as FREE sick notes and NO doctor will risk giving you sick notes without even seeing you or post date it etc.

Why give out free sick notes if they can charge for them (through consultation fees)? Makes no sense.

Why would a doctor do it for free?

As a favor for friends or family....I know several people where I live who have stacks of them....the most common being URI (upper respiratory infection). I used to laugh at all the URI's that came in...totally BS.

Same for anibiotics, who needs a prescription if you know the right people.

Just because most respondents here do not know a dr who might do it for free, does not mean that such doctors don't exist. Such as community service centres, outreach clinics, socially-minded doctors, vfamiky ir friends....I just don't know any of those here myself.

I was asking if anyone DOES know of of such places.
Please reply if you can be helpful.

And #3, I never said anything about post-dating, or not seeing me, or not being genuinely sick.

Leave the expat bubble and things are much different, I actually know of several people who get free doctors notes AND get reimbursed by their employers for medical visits. So they not only get the day off of work, but they get a free $120 - $180....and it's not uncommon to get 24 sick days a year. I tell you, it can be tough running a business in this city, but I guess the low taxes make up for all the other BS...

Your question should be changed to another one.

My high school schoolmates are now doctors but only one of them is in private pratice, who I can consult free of charge.

Your company's policies are very common in Mainland China. My customers' companies in Guangdong specified only one or two reputable hospitals they know well where their staff get their sick notes since there are too many dishonest clinics.

I understand why the company may want a sicknote, despite many other employees I have had not wanting one until after 3 days off so that you can deal with basic things at home and not needs to go to infect yourself further in a doctor's waiting room. (And in other Asian countries, employers actually covered all Dr costs, yes)

What I'm asking is where I can find out I can get a cheap/free note. Not a fake/dishonest one.
