    Comprehensive Check up advise

    Hi All,

Just moved to a new company and they are offering a Check up at a discounted price through BUPA here https://www.qhms.com/home/index.aspx?lang=en

I was wondering if you can recommend it or you can recommend an alternative one.

My company covers up to 1,800 but I don't mind spending more for a good check up (this is 3,000 in total)

    Thanks!

Thanks but as I mentioned, I don't mind spending for a good check-up: I'm looking more for good quality and fast service if possible

What do you want to check?

If it is just bloodwork and you have a regular GP - then anywhere is ok.

Or do you want add ons like ECG etc?

You should look into Bangkok if you are looking for comprehensive health screening. Price depends on age, but they are considerably cheaper than similar in Hong Kong and, in my opinion, better. Not sure you can utilise your $1800 subsidy, but if you are looking for something meaningful then that is a minor consideration.

Not just blood, I would like to do a full check up (including ECG for example)

Most medical centers will deliver the same results. Bloodwork is usually contracted out. ECG etc... standard shit that can be done anywhere really. What matters is taking all the reports to a good GP who can perhaps help you review them.

If you don't have a GP try the private hospitals/practices... Matilda's package is at the top end .. others include Sanitorium, Raffles, Quality Healthcare...

If I were you, I'd do the Quality check up and if their GP points out certain issues, go for a second opinion a little bit higher up the food chain. I've been through a comprehensive exam with them last year and it included an ECG.

Fair enough, seems the most reasonable approach

    Thanks!
