I am in need of a decent dentist here in HK. Does anyone have any recommendations that do good quality work for a fair price. It will be for a clean and maybe a filling.

Dr. Nicholas Tsang is your man. Our whole family sees him, great guy and very affordable and honest. He opened his clinic once on a Sunday for my young daughter who was in pain, fixed the problem and didn't even charge us.

I'm not sure such a thing as a fair priced dentist exists in Hong Kong. But with that being said I would also vouch for the above 'Alexander & Nicholas'.
I recently visited a few times for some treatment and could not fault the service. The price although still steep was definitely more reasonable than the surgeries in Central for example.
For reference, I had root canal and a crown fitted along with a filling on another tooth. This all cost me just over $9000 (HKD)..
