Question Dr Lauren Bramley & Partners - experiences and costs?

Does anyone have any experience with this medical practice? If so would you recommend it? Also what kind of costs are involved for blood tests?

Never been personally but I’ve heard it’s very expensive.

You can always ask for a referral letter for blood tests and get tests done elsewhere.

(Depending on the type of tests. Generic tests are common and reasonably priced at)

Someone has to pay for the high rents of their locations - and that will be you if you go there. Nothing wrong with them, plenty of satisfied customers but they are on the high end of the scale.

I prefer going to more local places where you can build personal relationships.

Unless you are going to them for some very special and specialist reasons, I'd pick someone more local and more reasonably priced.

I used to see a GP there, western trained. I'd recommend it if you have insurance, otherwise like all private medical centres here, it's rather expensive. I'm glad I went there though, because a doctor diagnosed a medical condition I must have had for years without knowing why I wasn't 100%. Blood tests are expensive, but no more than good local labs like pathlab. They have their own labs on-site and the nurses are excellent.

I guess simple GP type stuff is fine, but watch out for some of their aesthetic stuff.

Ricecakes, I went there just to have my contraception changed, and they made me take all sorts of tests that added up to the thousands - my husband flipped as the company was covering my medical et al. But, I was told that it was " standard procedure". They continued to harass me for months afterwards for a review, and I told them to buyer off. They are a rip off. The DR I saw was cold and basically out to make money. I was told that I was lacking in vitamins and sold all of these horrible synthetic vitamins that made me so ill, I could barely function properly. Mind you, I am a strict vegetarian, never been lacking in vitamins or minerals. It was only when I spoke with another friend who had been there that it clicked. They are only out to make money. the practice has been sold to another company a few years ago, and apparently, the ethic of the practice is simply to make money. Particularly out of expats. I received better service and care out of local practitioners. I make no apology for the harsh review, but I would hate to see another patient, who probably is as green around the gills as I was back then, being ripped off. Even Raffles Medical gave me much better results.

They've always been like that. They also skirted the edge of legality with aesthetic staff with dubious qualifications (for HK).
