I saw her a year or so ago, she is very good and professional.

The downside is that she is very expensive. $2,000 a consult excluding meds, and rent on a nebuliser.

very strong cv on paper, extensive experience from public sector. I think he's a lot less careful now that he's moved to the private sector, and tends to be a bit slapdash but you can certainly try him. He's one of the 2-3 most experienced respiratory specialists in HK.

I don't like the slapdash bit but that info helps. Do you happen to know the other 1-2 respiratory specialist?

My main problem with Dr Jane Chan is her price. I'm simply looking for a second opinion from a professional here. I've seen 2-3 public doctors here and they didn't seem too experienced in my opinion.

He's not completely slapdash, just not doing things to the same standards as would be done in a public teaching hospital. But that's typical of the private sector here. Dr Bin Lam is the other one. the third is Professor Mok at Kowloon hospital who's just retired last month. Not sure if he's going to take up private sector, but he's the best of the three.

Have to emphasis that Dr Ken Tsang is HIGHLY experienced, and still holds honorary professor post at HKU medical school, so don't let my comment put you off. He's also willing to think out of the box.
