    Orthodontist suggestions

    Hi,
I need an orthodontist for my teenage daughter. Anyone has recommendations ( Kowloon or HK side both okay)? Also, has anyone recently received quotes? We are not sure what the price range is in HK.

The price range is huge in HK - it all depends on what the dentist wants to charge (Termed "seafood price" in Cantonese) - Dentists in Central seem to charge a huge premium.

I used Conrad Dental in TST for Invisalign a few years ago - standard and transparent pricing and efficient process (if you go during the week). Friends who did it recently said it was around 40k

I would highly recommend Dr John Wu
    A Specialist in Orthodontics
Fellow of the College of Dental Surgeons of Hong Kong in the Speciality of Orthodontics
288 Queen’s Road West, Hong Kong
    Tel. 2559 1118
All my children have been to him. He is excellent with children. Not sure of the prices now but you can contact him. My children and their braces have cost an arm and a leg but it was well worth it. My oldest daughter still insists on going to him!

We went to Dr Ma at Bailey and Jackson in Central. He is retiring soon but the other Dr there is equally good. We were very happy with the care at Bailey and Jackson. We never waited more than 5-10 mins for our appts. When son was old enough he would go on his own after school. Braces are expensive - budget $50-80K

Can we assume that your teenage daughter needs braces to realign her teeth over the coming months ?
My teenage son got top quality braces fitted by our dentist in the Philippines. No booking, walk in service
You might easily reject that idea, but it can be done for a lot less than the $50-$80K quoted
Including airfares and hotels for you and your daughter, about $12-$15K ALL IN.
Just a thought! It's a lady dentist, she did my triple crown so well I had the idea of doing Dental Tourism in the Philippines!
    PM me if interested

I also saved a ton by flying to Bangkok almost monthly for 10 months. My initial cost for ceramic braces was approximately 6000HKD for upper and the same for lower. All metallic would have cost me 4000HKD per upper or lower. Each adjustment cost 600HKD and each flight rt cost approximately 1500HKD. I stayed for a few days each time at a cost of 400HKD for a 5* hotel. Worth every penny saved and enjoyable for each trip in spite of the painful, at times, adjustments. Please PM me for the details, if interested.

My kid saw the other doctor in Bailey and Jackson, Dr. Philip Chen for aligners. Very professional. He has another clinic in Olympic, price s quite reasonable.
