    Visiting Children - Insurance

    Hi Everyone

My two boys (16 & 13) live with their mum in the UK and are visiting me for a couple of weeks, flying out on their own.

Does anyone know the best plan for finding them travel insurance with medical cover in particular?

I can’t seem to do it from the UK as I am not resident there and they are both under 18 and yet HK insurance doesn’t seem to work either as it assumes people go elsewhere.

    Anyone had experience of this?

    Thanks

I think the mum (resident in the UK) needs to buy the travel insurance for the two boys.

Get them dependant visas and ID cards while they are here and next time they will be covered by the public healthcare.

Getting a dependent visa requires a letter from their mother giving her permission as she is not living here. A dependent visa assumes residence so the OP will have to show he has full-time custody.
