Skin Tag removal - Any leads?

Hi, I'm looking for recommendations or options for skin tag removals. I have tiny dark ones (around 4) on my neck.
They don't trouble me at all... but would like to get them removed for cosmetic reasons. Last time I asked a dermatologist (beauty specialist), they quoted me 5k....which was ridiculous. (or is it not?!)
I know can remove with laser....but where can I find cheap options in HK?
Or someone who can freeze and remove (that's what google tells me).
    Has anyone tried Medi Freeze?
    Any other recommendations?

    Thanks

Not sure what is Medi Freeze. But tiny skin tags usually can be frozen by any dermatologist, just like warts. Charges usually vary, depending on which area your dermatologist's clinic is located and how posh the clinic looks.

Dermatologists that I have seen in Central typically charge $950 per tag/wart, and since it was under health insurance, cost is typically lower at agreed rates compared to what they would charge if you don't have insurance coverage.

So based on 4 skin tags plus dermatologist's consultation fee (extra charge) and potentially some cream (extra charge), I would say $5K is typical if your dermatologist is centrally located and clinic looks a bit modern (not super posh but not too basic looking).

    Hope that helps..

DeletedUser is quite right - you can tie them off for free. This advice was given to me by a dermatologist. I guess you need to wait for a long weekend though, so you’re not going to work with bits of cotton tied to you.

I highly recommend not talking to them as they seem to flourish off carbon dioxide emissions much like plants do.

Twisting them has always worked a treat based on my former days of practice.

see a family physician/GP and have them frozen off, that’s such as minor procedure, you don’t need to help the skin specialist pay the mortgage for his third apartment in repulse bay .

$950 per tag?! Wow, that's nuts.

Don't they sell over the counter wart removal kits here? If not just order it US$22:

I've tried this. It's fiddly but it works. I would put a plaster on top to stop yourself catching it or fiddling with (or because it will look odd).

Was covered by insurance so was technically free for me. Plus I’m also squeamish when it comes to trying diy stuff on myself if there is potential for pain.. But hey, if I were to have to fork out $5K for the procedure out of my own pocket, then I would either google as much as I can on diy options first to see if easy enough, or just learn to live with the tags.

Is there anyone that can help you in the process of removing the skin tag, if yes then please for the love of god save the 5k LOL spend it on booze n food instead

I have loads of skin tags from small to 0.5cm in length (ball shape) and used and tried all kinds of self methods depending on the size of the skin tag and location. I have to do it myself as my mrs doesnt help me with these lol

    1. If you want to try n freeze it off you can buy it from HKTVMall

    2. Or you can buy one of these and use it on your neck skin tags, very easy to use.

Sharp of scissors. Wipe with alchohol. Snip snip. Pressure for 5 minutes. Band aids optional.
