    Endodontist specialist in Bangkok

Hi, I’m also searching for an endo to a molar root canal. Found the service In HK seems low so going to BK seems to be a good alternative. Can you share the name of the endo specialist that was used for the successful root canal?

    Good morning!

From memory it was Smile Dental Clinic. The one I went to was in Nana in Bangkok. They also have a branch in Phuket.

Here is the address: Bangkok Smile Dental Clinic Sukhumvit 5.

I got quoted a very high amount for root canal in Hong Kong and debating if I should just go ahead with an extraction and implant.

From what I have heard, it seems that the root canal does not provide a guaranteed solution and in some cases, the tooth has to be extracted at the end, which really defeats the purpose.

Can anyone share their thought? Many thanks

Implant is a big job. Sometimes the implant doesn't take to the bone it is put into. Root canal is cheaper and they usually say they will last for 10 years (worst case scenario).

Pricewise, I paid the equivalent of 7,000hkd for root canal and a gold crown in 2017 in Thailand. I think the cheapest quote I got in HK was around 20,000.

If you get an implant you will most likely (if not always) also need a root canal first, then an implant (maybe even bone graft) and then a crown.
So you won't save money by going the implant root. If your tooth is still fine definitely just do the root canal and keep your tooth.
