Ha...lost a post somewhere... Thanks for the laugh but seriously, the question remains. Someone is losing hair from the scalp and is looking for recommendations for a dermatologist experienced in treating this.

I think derms and plastic surgeons both do hair implants. Don't have a name, though.

If it's typical MPB then you just want someone who does it regularly with a large team of assistants. Could be any sort of surgeon.

If it's patchy/ nontypical hair loss, it might be worth seeing a derm first but derms won't/ shouldn't do hair transplants. But if they do it regularly etc, then why not? It's not rocket science but most derms won't do anything vaguely surgical
