    Flu Vaccine / COVID vaccine

I'm getting my seasonal flu vaccine next week. Looking here, it seems I can also get a COVID vaccine at the same time (I think my last booster was in December 2022, but since then I came down with COVID).

Anyone getting a COVID booster jab? I've not seen much publicity in HK about COVID in recent months ( I wonder why ...) but a friend in the UK is getting a booster and that got me thinking.

I had the new bivalent dose in July before a trip to India.

    That was my 5th dose.

Not sure if I did get a mild case of COVID or whatever.. was knocked out tired for 4-5 days in India but tested negative.

I had problems on the website, but it may because I only ticked the box saying I was over 50. There was no public places to get both the flu and covid booster done at the same time. Only the covid booster.

Generally they will offer you the flu booster at the same time when you are getting the covid booster (this is what happened to me).

According to the government's statistics, the take-up on the 4th dose (1.2M) seems pretty poor, and abysmal on the 5th (117K) and 6th (5K) doses. People getting Covid and thus putting off the need for another booster would be part of it, but still.

I see that Gleneagles has the Moderna Bivalent Vaccine, which we're interested in rather than just getting another of the Pfizer ones we've had already.

However, the HKD1,800 price tag seems kind of pricey, bundled with a generally unnecessary supposed "doctor's consultation".

Anyone know of any other places offering it and what they are charging?

Google isn't turning anything up for me and the government's list of private clinics only seems to be for Sinovac and Biontech.

Just caught it again almost a year later and much milder than last time, so yeah, no booster for me this year...

I got both vaccines yesterday. Low-grade headache a few hours afterwards and some today as well. All told I've had six COVID-19 vaccine jabs (or is it seven?) and one infection.

Those of you who are getting the booster, how old are you, are you considered higher risk? I've had 4 doses plus Covid a year ago. Not in a high risk group, but also don't particularly want to be laid up sick for a week or so. My children had 2 doses of Sinovac plus Covid a year ago. Don't know if we should be getting Covid boosters. We've all had the flu jab.
