How do you treat your back / neck

Over the past two or three years, I have developed serious problems with my neck and back. I contacted the GP, and he sent me an x-ray, but based on it, he said that he did not see anything serious. Nevertheless, I get up in the morning immediately with discomfort or pain in the area where the neck goes into the back, and I constantly feel tension there. Also, the mobility of my neck and upper back seems compromised. I tried to improve my condition by training/swimming, but it (seems) does not help.

What can be done in such a situation? Should you see a chiropractor? I've heard very mixed opinions on that.

You can see exactly b*gger all on an X-ray that might explain back pain.

    edit: almost b*gger all.

edit again: to be slightly constructive, do you have any tingling in your fingers.

Stretch and release using foam rollers on a thick yoga mat.

    YouTube will guide you.

I used to get a lot of neck pain. Lasted years. Went to a chiropractor. One almighty crack and no pain since. Not once, Nothing.

I have also found using ball to help with neck and shoulder pain as it reaches a bit deeper than a foam roller.

Also the chiropractor recommendation for quicker relief ..

Seems like I don't have any tingling in the fingers. But I get migraines (possibly related to my neck). I also have the feeling that there is some kind of coordination disorder. I began to often drop objects, feel dizzy, and the like.

Interesting. I've heard opinion that it's a kind of very short term relief, but seems like in some cases it has long-standing effect.

And interestingly you mention migraines, I used to bounce off the walls with them. Realised I have not had a migraine for years either.

Even if it turned out in your case to be short term only, worth a try.

The "hunch" over screens is a big contributor to neck pain. So hard to avoid, but also very necessary.
