have read a lot of recommendations for Gleneagles Hospital here, so maybe useful, a patient has contracted Legionnaire Disease during stay in Gleneagles.
Anyone who visited or had treatment around end of July, AND has cough, shortness of breath, chest pain or discomfort, particularly when breathing or coughing, a high temperature, or flu-like symptoms ____make sure_____ the hospital does a Legionella test (urine test).
Legionnaire Disease is a very nasty type of pneumonia, with around 10% fatality rate.
Symptoms appear 2-14 days after exposure, usually 5-6 days. CHP has not found the source of Legionella yet, so your mileage may vary.
