>> Queen mary proposed me directly the most extrem surgery
This is what we hear from many, many people. After all, this is the same crew (HK's specialists and elite docs) who ended up treating the SARs patients with heavy steroids.

NO Problems - Z Plasty still holding
To the internet critics earlier. To the defense of the OP please bear the following in mind.
1. If you suffer from this problem - it does recur (check out other general medical forums). Even when having the most basic treatment you are out of work for at least 7-14 days. Follow up does drag on longer, and therefore you may want to avoid further repeats.
2. It is something that is common in Europe and the Americas but not Asia. Therefore the opportunity for surgeons to observe, practice and learn in HK when training here may be limited. Therefore you may seek a forum like this to see if there are others who have had the same problem and if they know if there is a specialist who trained overseas or has the requisite specialist knowledge.
3. After being in hospital repeatedly (under GA, time in hospital about a week recovering, 3 weeks not working and largely housebound) with the same condition you do learn a lot about the problem and may research the remedies yourself. After all you do not need to be a mechanical engineer in order to decide which car you want to drive, nor be able to tell when a common fault is to blame for it not working.
agree with all your points... however, maybe it does not mean the medical/surgical expertise in HK is "weak" as claimed by the OP, maybe it means that due to demographics, doctors in different countries have different expertise and experience? a benign question such as "does anyone know a surgeon that is experienced in ZYX" may have resulted in a different response from the "internet critics". even though a lot of people on this forum are expats, a lot of them are very defensive of the country they are currently calling home (even if it is subconscious!).
