    Mole Removal

    Hello everyone,

Need some help here. My husband was advised to remove some of the moles on his skin after a comprehensive health check-up.

Where are some of the clinics/hospitals to do it? Is it necessary to get a referral from a GP?

    Thanks. And happy 2010.

If moles need to be removed I believe they also need to be examined to test if they are cancerous or not, so any "amazing touch" doesn't seem suitable.

Your simplest option is to make an appointment with a dermatologist at any private hospital(they all have derm OPD) such as sanitorium / adventist/baptist etc

the dermatologist can decide based on the appearance and location how to remove them -either by CO2/laser(freeze/burn them off) or excision biopsy(cut out and remove the mole for examination)

no GP referral needed for a private hospital but if you decide to see the govenrment dermatoligist you will need a referral from a GP -and it will be a very long wait (the gp can advise based on the appearencr of the mole how urgent it will be )

Since the previous post to mine was removed (some spammer recommending a certain product/procedure) my reply might appear not to make any sense.
