I`m looking for a recommendation for a doctor specialising in back problems/orthopedic surgeon.
Central Kowloon, or Central on HK Island is fine, as long as they are good. I am based in Tsuen Wan though, but travelling a bit is fine.
From my pregnancy, and now with a toddler, my back is in rough shape. Basically I am in some degree of discomfort or pain at all times. I need to have this fixed. I saw a chiropractor for a while, and he was good, but my insurance is finished, he moved offices and chiropracty is only a band-aid really. I am looking for a proper fix.
Thanks for any suggestions or recommendations.

My brother has recently done a surgery having his hip replaced in Union Hospital and the surgeon, Dr. Chak Hing Chung is good in manner and skill.
I'm not sure if your case can be handled by him but I recommend you to try Union Hospital. I think their service is good and the fee is not quite high. My brother originally consulted another doctor Dr Lee in Union Hospital and both he and Dr Chak is very good...having patience and professional. My colleague's family also visits Union Hospital when getting sick and always recommends friends who in need.

The good thing about him is: he practices both the western mindset and the chinese mindset of orthopedic medicine. He really listens to my concerns and explains my condition to me thoroughly. He really cured my back problem.
He's a physio, acupuncturist, sports medicine specialist, and osteopathic practitioner. So....when i see him, I'm actually seeing multiple professions at one time.
He charged me $600/session.

Ranges from 30-50 min. Personally, I prefer shorter sessions. It's not like getting massage, where the longer the more comfort. What I need is treatment effect.

Sorry for the delay - just noticed this. Yes, I've had direct experience with him over the years and I recommend him because he's not scalpel happy....not looking to increase his revenue through lots of follow-up appointments....teaches you exercises to help deal with specific problems....loads of reasons
