    paranasal sinus infection?

since living & leaving england, i've been suffering from sneezes as soon as it gets cold or dusty (embarasssing when taking public transportation to work!).

i think that it has gone worse coz i couldn't smell some things like my baby's smelly nappy and oooh boy! you can smell it from afar!! now & finally, i've planned to go to the doc to get it checked. can a GP check if i've an infection or do i have to go to an ENT specialist? if i do have a paranasal sinus infection, can i get it fixed in QMH?

i didn't think of getting it fixed any earlier coz i thought it was just an allergy........

    Dear aava

It sounded like you may have sinusitis on a background of rhinitis. I think you should go to see your GP for an assessment first. It is possible to see a ENT specialist at QMH (private clinic) if you so wish, but you'd still need a referral letter (from your GP). Hopefully, you'd improve promptly with treatment from your GP in the first instance. Alternatively, you could see a private ENT specialist directly (unless you are paying by insurance and there is a requirement of a GP referral letter).

    Hope you improve soon.
