This made me chuckle. I was looking for a World cup schedule, found one on cable tv website, except they are showing some matches at 27.00 o'clock any clues to which timescale they are using???

They mean 3am the following day obviously...

There seems to be a perpetual problem here with after midnight events in that people misunderstand which day it is... people buy cinema tickets for 00:30 shows on Wednesday and turn up at the end of their Wednesday evening out...

So the way they do it, although odd, is apparently harder to misunderstand (assuming you can make any sense of it at all).

okay...example...

Monday 00:30 = Monday 12:30am
Monday 21:00 = Monday 9:00pm

Monday 25:00 = Tuesday 01:00
*Monday 23:00 + 2:00
= Monday 25:00
= Tuesday 01:00



It's because the mindset of chinese.......
06:00 at the time when the sun rise, the border line of a new day..but not 00:00

so in HK, it's common to show the time in such way............
