I have done a little bit of homework just then and hope this would help u guys to overcome the chinese problem

Please follow the steps to make it done.

I have done a bit of translation on the menu, to make it easier to understand

Click on the kps (bitrate) in order to show up the highest bitrate and start to look for CCTV5 on the list and double click on it, hopefully it wil show up the channel and you are desired. However, if u get no response more than a minute, click on channel and see if any data ins and outs. or try the different channel again.

Last but not the least, make sure u have installed windows media player ver 9 or above before you ll be able to watch it.

these 2 are the most famous streaming tv (world cup) at this moment, they streams CCTV5 and GuangDong Sport channel too.

However, only simplified chinese or trdiational chinese will be supported, unless you ve got little knowledge of chinese, or you may find it difficult to handle it.

PM me if you need any more assistance.

just keep in mind that get on to TVAnts at least 30-45 mins before the match begins or you may encounter the server list wont refresh or server is down and unable to refresh the server list.

That has a lot of listings of stations providing live audio coverage and a few with video feeds.

This also is very good program for WC06

    Hi all,

Just read through all these posts. Personally, i've tried almost all of these streaming programs with mixed success. TVAnts on my netvigator connection stops & starts every few seconds. Unwatchable. However, what i've had most success with is Sopcast ( http://www.sopcast.org/ ).
The webpage and player are all in english. Its small and now comes with a little player on your desktop. Not many channels, but CCTV5 & Guanddong are there for the footie. It takes about 1min to buffer up and get a feed on my PC and it runs smoothly for the duration of the match.

Just my two 'penneth. Might be worth a try for anyone struggling with TVants or PP Live or whatever.

    Goodluck.
