If you are going to buy a new drive, I would definitely get one of the Sandisk Cruzers.

This website describes their two encryption products: CruzerSync and CruzerLock.
CruzerSync is the same as DmailerSync and you can trial that software for free on your current drive:

U3 drives aside I've been playing with Firefox Portable (FP). Importing bookmarks was a breeze. I exported my passwords from Firefox (desktop) and imported them into FP but when I visit a site for which I have saved a password the input fields are not filled in for me. This happened for the handful of sites I visited so I gave up and filled in the usernames and passwords. Strangely FP did not ask me to remember the passwords. Anyone had this problem?
