Any users of O2 Atom?

Hi,

Planning to buy O2 Atom mostly to use it as a PDA to store data and also as a normal phone. I hardly see anyone using it, looks like Mobile PDA phones are not very popular except for Blackberry.

Not much online review is available on this product. Would like to get some first hand review (usability and stability) before I go ahead and buy it.

The Atom is popular but ridden with problems. I've read a lot on other peoples' problems all the while thinking I was lucky then disaster hit and it had to go in for repair. Iin the last two months it has been back three times because it keeps hanging. Most of the problems people have are with the device hanging.
On the plus side it has the latest mobile Windows WM5, has a fast cpu, enough RAM, is pocketable, light, supports EDGE etc etc.
On the negative side the battery does not last long enough and I am thinking of getting a spare. I also miss a real keyboard but that's my personal preference.

FYI, a new Treo 750v launched yesterday. Available in SmarTone-Vodafone stores and selected dealers around the territory.

Just got myself a motoming. Still exploring it. It's very much like a Palm and Clie that I had ages ago combined with a phone. A little smaller than O2 and I think it might be cheaper as well. You can get a memory card to stick it in if you need more memory space. To be honest, i got the phone because it looks good so I haven't explored enough yet. But at this point of time, I love my new phone!
