    Netvigator and DNS Records

more of a rant than a question...

i use netvigator at home, and my office also uses netvigator, although they are on the business side. yesterday i updated the dns records of one of my domains to point to a new host (icdsoft).

i know that normally it takes anywhere between 24 and 48 hours for the change to propagate through, but you'd think that if netvigator HOME already updated their records (as i was able to see the new site from home), then netvigator BUSINESS would've done so too? bleh.

Each domain Resource Record has a TTL (Time to live). The time to live starts from the moment the DNS resolver learns the IP address. If the TTL is say 12 hours... and then the IP changes, some DNS resolvers/caches would update after say 3 hours, but some may take upto 11.59 minutes.
