    Ripping music from HDCDs

    I've recently bought some HDCD's (20bit) and XRCD(24 bit) which I can't rip.

Is the problem my CD player or does one need some specific software to rip these?

i can rip both XRCD and HDCD by using an ASUS DVD-RW drive, or a very old Pioneer DVD-ROM

    which software do you use??

They're backward compatible with normal audio CDs, its SACD and DVD-Audio that are useless.

Mr Moo yes in theory it should "PLAY" the same as a CD, however when it comes to ripping it fails out right.

I will try a DVD drive.
