shouldnt people just take better photos?
No it is not, you have to copy your image for using apple+T, then you can change the size, perspectives...
But i suppose that the software has not the same way to calculate than photoshop.
This software certainly doesn't enlarge/shrink pixels, but removes them, that perhaps gives a different result, especially for big size prints.
Anyway, this new product will certainly cost really a lot, and it is already possible to have good results with photoshop. I heard dxo permits to make such transformations (like ctrl/apple+T) during the file development, that gives good results.
Its not a product its a research paper. It works on seems from top to bottom or left to right in the image to expand or reduce the size of the image. The video and paper are to show that this is more effective than traditional scaling techniques on horizontal or vertical lines.
A few people have already created tools from the equations in the paper producing similar results.
