My IBM desktop mouse, abt 2 years old, will no longer do right clicking............any help?

I can afford a new mouse but I was afraid my computer is going whacky causing the mouse problem.

StraightArrow - might be the other way around. I just replaced an old mechanical mouse on a computer at home which was sending weird signals to the computer causing windows to move by themselves, open close multiple apps etc.
Replaced the mouse and fixed it. Worth trying .. given that its cheaper to replace the mouse than the motherboard / computer.
