Can you type the exact error that shows up?
And is there any error code?

One thing you can try is to right click "my Computer" from the drop down menu chose "manage"

In the new window go to "Event Viewer" and look for any errors or warnings in the logs there, and post it here.

I would go to Microsoft's Internet Explorer website, download the latest and install it. It SHOULD fix any problems you have with it. The alternative is uninstall from control panel and download and install.

Also, visit Adobe's site and upgrade to the latest version of Flash, the one that you have has several bugs.

Thanks very much Shri. I just downloaded Falsh vers 9 so hopefully no more probs.

I also get bumped out sometimes "Internet explorer encountered a problem and needs to close" - and when I close and go back to this forum I can't find the thread I was looking at! I has looking at the Heroes thread and its not on the screen anymore.

Do you think that the flash thing had something to do with that?

Once you've looked at a thread it will no longer appear in the list of threads when you click "More New Topics" (because it is not regarded as new to you any more). A little annoying but this suits the majority of users (I believe). If you want to find it again you need to search forums using any keyword that you can remember or click Forum from the top-middle of the page and browse the sub-forums until you find what you were looking for.

i suggest you stop using IE and download a more stable and reliable browser such as Firefox. its free and far better than IE in most areas.
