A glossy "TrueLife" 17" widescreen notebook from Dell, you won't regret it, web surfing and movies look amazing, but text can be small sometimes due to the 1920x1280 resolution. You can adjust font size though. The viewing angle is also very wide.

I have the 17" WXGA on my Dell E1705. I was advised to get it over the WUXGA to avoid problems with screen glare. The WUXGA's higher resolution is good for videos and gaming though.
