Sony Bravia KLV-40X300A - how much and where is the best place to buy

    Hi Guys/Gals,

will be moving to HK in next week. looking to buy a Sony Bravia KLV-40X300A. had a look on the sony website and saw it was advertised for HK$29,800

my parents bought a larger version of the above tv - the 46inch version (model KLV-46X300A in HK or 46X3100 in Australia) for HK$23,800 (AUD$3400) . This TV is being advertised @ HK$36,800 on the Sony HK website.

I understand that you can usually get the tv at a much cheaper price than the recommended retail price, but surelly not 35% cheaper?

Does anyone know how much the 40inch version KLV-40X300A would go for in HK? where would be the best place to get it?

    thanks very much

In my experience when buying a Bravia 46" a year ago you won't find them for more than about 10% off the Sony price. You do also see special bundles with a second smaller TV or something.

I ended up getting mine from PCCW for 10% below the Sony price with a bundled 21" Sony 720p TV (which was a standard bundle at the time). I went with PCCW because of some special offer I had from them at the time which meant I also got more than 40,000 AsiaMiles for doing so.

Yes it is, and yes they do. Not least because they are the company that supplies Broadband TV (NOW TV).

Also, you can get a fair bit of the price knocked off, if you're willing to buy it without warrenty.
