At least Marks and Spencers let you walk in, touch it, and feel it before you buying. Not like HKDNR make you pay for it first, then tell you they don't have MX Record. Normally Domain Name Regist agents provide at least MX Record and some other functions, not as limited as HKDNR. Doesn't it like everyone knows the basic functions of banks that can deposit and withdraw $. But such a bank tell you they only provide deposit but not withdraw. WTX! Not make sense.
HKDNR aren't an agent they are the hk registrar, if you want an agent service go to an agent like www.domain.com.hk, www.jump.com.hk, etc.
Other country domains are managed very similarly, .uk for example by Nominet UK and they are a registrar only.
(edit) oh lordy this forum has really, really fucking annoying domain name parsing.

Mr Moo : we're just picking up the title tags from the pages linked.
By the way, I would NEVER recommend Jump. Have seen them in action and they're pretty shoddy... but then I guess if you don't know the diff between a registrar and hosting company then it pretty much does not matter.
Searching for "hk domain hosting" I cannot say the result set appears overly professional. For example:
http://www.webdomain.com.hk/
http://www.innter.net/en/index.php
Some look a lot better,
http://www.asiaregistry.com/domains/domains_hk.html
Then many are just meh,
http://www.hosting.com.hk/
http://www.abchk.com/
http://www.hostinghk.com/
http://www.hktechnology.com/
Your needs are understandable, however a registrars purpose is to register domains. Many people struggle with this concept. By HKDNR or any other registrar providing services to end users like DNS hosting they are eating into the revenue/business of its resellers, ISPs/hosting companies.
When you register a home in the Lands office you don't get postal service.
