How to connect a 4g hotspot to a lan

Leaving aside the 'why' for a moment does anyone know how to connect a home LAN to a mobile mifi 4g hotspot?

So in other words make the main home wifi router connect to the hotspot. My thoughts are it would require a wifi bridge which connects to the wan port of the home router and to the mifi hotspot using wifi.

I found some postings on Google that suggest this is possible but not enough detail to say what bridge to purchase or how to configure the bridge and home router.

    Thanks

Just to clarify the objective here is to route all Internet traffic from the lan through the mifi hotspot.

There are several routers that support a USB port with 3/4G uplink, for example:

If the 3/4G device is only providing WiFi you need an access point, basically a wireless bridge. Primary example is Apple's Airport Express:

There are obviously many alternatives available, including high priced game system adapters for Xbox and others.

    Hi MrMoo

Thanks for your detailed reply. Interesting... The TPLink device seems to only work with 3/4G USB sticks and not Mifi's but not necessarily a show stopper. I was really looking for something that worked from a Mifi device.

Not sure I understand your thinking for the Airport Express (I have one of those at home as I used to use the audio out jack and iTunes to stream music around the place).

Would the Trendnet product work to link my home Wifi router and my Mifi hotspot?
