All in one package - TV/Internet/Wifi

Moving to Hong Kong on Wednesday (2nd July).

I'm looking for an all in one package if possible -
TV channels for sports, movies and kids shows
    Broadband internet access
    3G subscription with unlimited data

Basically, I use my mobile phone alot for internet, GPS. messaging and e-mail, and hardly ever for phone calls, therefore the data is more important. Ergo, if i can get a package which gives me wi-fi hotspot access, i can just use Voip on my mobile phone instead.. and a basic 2G plan.

Any ideas of a good provider who can service these requirements or am I better off getting different packages from different companies?

PCCW can most likely do it but although you can set it all up in one store you still get separate bills for all of them and they all operate separately.

Wait, we can't get one single bill if we get all those services from PCCW??? I was thinking of only going with PCCW on mobile because I thought it would be easier to just get everything on the same bill. x-(

I guess it's partly for historical reasons - PCCW bought Sunday which was a completely separate mobile operator (having previously copied BT and made the mistake of selling of CSL, which had been its mobile arm). And partly for regulatory reasons - fixed and mobile licences are currently complete separate as far as the regulator is concerned so the operations need to be separate to some extent. However, this will change next year when all the facilities-based operators (i.e. people who build their own networks rather than just leasing someone else's) will move to Unified Carrier Licences. Hopefully this will lead PCCW and Hutchison at least to try to differentiate themselves from the rest of the market by having truly integrated offerings.

But I wouldn't hold your breath - I had a bit of a battle to get my PCCW bills down from 6 per month to 4 recently, but most of them are available as e-bills, so it doesn't mean having to deal with loads of paper.

Only same company in name, even getting Netvigator and Now TV changed is a real pain in the butt as they are separate corporate entities.

Local calls are incredibly cheap, data isn't. It's a big built up city so don't count on GPS much either. There aren't that many WiFi hotspots about either, although every PCCW telephone box is supposed to be one, and MTR has been installed with access points.

The basic Netvigator package gives you a free month of WiFi hotspot access so you can give it a trial.

PCCW's mobile service sucks, trust me. The broadband service is OK.

Any advise on Broadband Service providers for South Horizons

    Hi,

I just moved to South Horizons 1 month ago. I am looking for a Broadband Service package which I hope will not have a long contract period. Any advise?

    Best regards,
    DC

You can get a Zero length contract as long as you pay for the installation. Just browse the various ISP's websites or call their customer service numbers.
