    Hmmm, may well do that as seems the simplest option. At least then have a couple of spare 500Gb drives should we not go back to Linux!

    Well not my choice either. It was actually installed by an outside software company that sold us a supposed PM system. During the evaluation they changed their mind on choice of Linux flavour at least 3 times. Anyway software was useless but we do have some data in there we wish to keep - for a short while at least.
