Changing plugs on appliances (so I don't have to use adapter)

Hi, I want to change the plugs on a few appliances, i.e. Cut off the Australian plug and put on a new HK/UK one.

Does anyone know where I can buy "plug heads" so that I can do this? Around Clearwater Bay / Sai Kung area if possible.

    thanks.

Most small hardware shops have them. Get there an electrical screwdriver too.

    Blue or black = N
    Brown or red = L

For Sai Kung - hardware shop on King Man Street (opposite Sha Tsui Playground)
For Clear water bay - Hang Hau Village has a hardware store (left of 7-11) or there is two hardware shops outside On Ning Garden Block 1 (Sheung Ning Road).

Find the small stalls, you get them for just a few bucks each.

There isn't a lot of point to be stripping wires etc when you can get these things very easily for $5 each:

Also you can get these things on Ap Liu Street, Sham Shui Po with 8 outlets (with a HK outlet that plugs into the wall) for less than $100:

Those power strips which accept multiple types of plug are available in a lot of electrical shops, not always on display for mysterious reasons, try going in to one and showing a picture, they probably have some hidden away somewhere

Personally, I'm not a big fan of 2 pin sockets, I find that they don't really fit well and tend to wobble about in the sockets.
