    Network Media/Video Players to TV.

I am looking for a media player that can read Divx and MP3's from a file server and then output to a TV on A/V, HDMI or CYK(?). Ideally I want one without a hard drive or fans.

I've seen the Apple TV, but it comes with a drive and I'm not sure it can read from a file server.

There is this one from Archos:

    ARCHOS

This also has a hard disk but is probably a bit more flexible than the Apple product. Not sure if this is what you're looking for but worth a look.

yes that is what I am looking for. I know if the unit does not have a hard disk the price go down by 30-40%. Also the noise, heat, failure is not something I want to deal with.

According to the site it is not sold in Hong Kong.

This thread produced a few alternative options:

Didn't realise the TV+ wasn't available in HK, every other Archos product seems to be so it is a little strange.

I never thought of using my Wii as media center/network media player

Here is media center for Wii,
X-OOM - digital lifestyle. without limits.

    another It doesn't play DivX
Wii Media Center X - Stream Media to Wii

How does one get a fixed ethernet port on a wii?

    XBMC for Mac looks good.

I'm currently using XBMC for Xbox and it's amazing, the only downsides are the huge, lol, xbox, and the lack of HDTV support.
