Here are some short videos (with real world examples) to expand your horizon about the aspects of Internet of Things + Blockchain (smart contracts, payments etc).

Some useful things come to mind:

You can control or monitor things from remote. Can check that your fishtank is ok, all lights off in the basement? Dimm your lights. Monitor the Ph of your smokeable plants. Quite a lot of things you can do.

Yes, I can see lots of hacker potential with i.e. iot fridge. ISIS could hack into your fridge and freeze/thaw all your food. Sounds like hours of total fun.

    Worst fucking idea ever.

Do I swear on Geo much? No. But let me say again:

    Worst fucking idea ever.

we saw with the last DoS attacks that nobody is safe. A lot of companies and startup rent server space with Amazon, if this gets taken down it is going to be a massive mess.

    Good for them:

Xiongmai said Monday that it would recall products sold before April 2015 to demonstrate "social responsibility," but added that its devices did not make up the majority used in the attack.

What could happen to our life? Our life will change. It's supposed to change anyway. This thing just lead the change to it's direction. Where do I expect the change? I believe if any of these three (Home, Office, Leisure time) change, the other two will change automatically.
