Trikes - A Hong Kong Thing?

Thanks to heavy subsidies luxury electric cars are now very much a Hong Kong thing.

But also looking at the change in vehicles on the roads in the last few years there seems to of been a huge increase in the number of 2 front wheel motorbikes.



No doubts the motorcycle purists will decry them as some sort of devil machine that defeats the joy of riding. BUT there seems to be a lot of them on the road, are they popular in any other countries?

Serious question, what's the point of having two wheels at the front in these things?

Edit: I get it for the very wide ones, but the one in the OP with very close wheels not so much.

Approx $800k FRT subsidy plus 100% profits tax deduction for the capital expenditure
